About the Course

This course will teach you how to design, build, and scale automations using Make, including integrating AI tools like OpenAI. Through hands-on exercises and projects, you’ll learn to connect apps, process and transform data, automate workflows, & leverage AI to boost productivity.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Curriculum

  • Chapter 1: Getting Started with Make

    Overview:

    In this chapter, participants will be introduced to Make as a no-code automation platform. They will set up their accounts, navigate the interface, and explore pre-built scenarios. By the end, participants will understand data mapping basics and apply their learning to beginner projects.

    • Introduction to Make and account setup
    • Navigating the Make interface confidently
    • Exploring pre-built scenarios, modules, and app integrations
    • Understanding bundles and basic data mapping
    • Projects: Send Weather Notifications to Telegram Bot, Generate Poems with AI + Coffee API
    • Wrap-up & beginner project ideas

  • Chapter 2: Working with Data in Make

    Overview:

    In this chapter, participants will learn how to work with data types, collections, and structures within Make. They will apply transformations using functions and variables, incorporate filters and routers for control logic, and handle JSON and arrays in real-world automations.

    • Data types, collections, and structures

  • Chapter 3: Building Multi-Step Workflows with APIs and Data Handling

    Overview:

    In this chapter, participants will build advanced automation workflows that connect to APIs and process complex data. They will learn how to fetch data using HTTP modules, transform arrays, aggregate results, and structure workflows with dot notation for precise data handling.

    Topics to Cover:

    • Connecting to APIs and fetching data with HTTP and iterators
    • Transforming arrays and aggregating data
    • Combining API data with processing tools
    • Structuring and managing complex data
    • Using dot notation for array functions
