About the Course

This course introduces the core principles of DevOps, key AWS services, and foundational networking concepts like OSI and CIDR. It also covers important DevOps acronyms and frameworks, ending with student-led DevOps project presentations.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand fundamental DevOps concepts and terms.
  • Demonstrate and apply basic AWS and networking knowledge.
  • Apply DevOps concepts through acronyms and frameworks.
  • Plan a DevOps Project.

Curriculum

  • Chapter 1: What is DevOps
    • A list of relevant AWS services we will use and a brief description of those.
    • An introduction to Open Systems Interconnection (OSI)
    • An introduction to Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) blocks
    • An introduction to acronyms:
      • Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
      • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
      • Well Formed Architecture Framework from AWS
    • Introduction to Separation of Concerns (SOC)
  • Chapter 2: Capstone Project Samples
