I worked on a Knowledge Graph project for a healthcare startup and a big data project for a media company. I learned and practiced many big data skills – previously my focus was on the machine learning side, but to be a good data scientist, you need to know how to work with big data tools like AWS and Spark. Knowing the technologies/tools in theory is not enough, it’s very different from when you actually have to do it. Regular course work doesn’t work with a large dataset but these client projects do. Those two projects both used Spark so it was really helpful.

Learning code means coming up with many questions, how can I get answers to my questions?You can communicate with the instructors and teaching assistants (TA's) regularly through our online platform and communication app (Slack). We also provide one-on-one support by our professional TA's.

What if I miss a few sessions?Every live-online lecture is recorded so you can watch them anytime. You can always book a one-on-one meeting with our TA’s to help you catch up with the session you missed.

Do you offer financial support?WeCloudData is registered as a private career college under the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities with the operating name of “Toronto Institute of Data Science and Technology”. As an Ontario registered private career college, you can apply for a student line of credit from BMO with a lower interest rate. We also work with PayBright (https://paybright.com) to offer payment options through installments.
